What is Sacred Leadership? Sacred Leadership provides a new context for leading organizations. It recognizes that leadership is about purpose, not the person. It is not enough that organizations have leaders, regardless of how spiritual or powerful. What is needed is leadership that is grounded in MISSION and guided by VALUES in order to serve the COMMON GOOD. Sacred Leadership is not about religion or partisan politics. No one person, religion or belief system can take us through these chaotic and perilous times. We will only create a livable world today and a positive world for tomorrow through our combined and cooperative efforts to identify and serve the common good. It provides an optimistic, yet realistic, vision of creating a positive future in which the common good is served. It encourages dialogue that leads to cooperation rather than confrontation. It provides for the immediate needs of those served without sacrificing their future needs and security.
Sacred Leadership can inform all aspects of society. Although we easily
apply the concepts of Sacred Leadership to professions such as education,
health care and others; it also has much to offer business, the broader
community and our personal lives.
